So I'm coming back from starbucks walking towards the restaurant. I'm a little late because the train ran local the whole way to Manhattan. I get to the place, the door wide open because it's really nice outside, and walk in. I see Mel way in the back (our usual spot). Hmm...maybe I'm not so late because only Mel is there? Nope, it's just that everyone else is later than me LOL

I walk over to her and realize that she's looking quite hot...yes hot. She's wearing a fairly tight black blouse and some kind of mini skirt. Yep, really hot! LOL. We hang out a bit until Dave (the fave) walks in. Dave's in his usual party mode and the 3 of us talk some more. I'm not completely sure of the order that everyone else arrived, but I think it was: Adam (NYtrash), Nee (Neenyc), Jerry (Eagle) and finally after a long wait, Zeus and Cherry (yellowsubsomethingorother) LOL. Our friend Roadrunner didn't make it, we're not sure why yet. Hope he's ok!

It seems that Jerry had some truck problems on the way in to NYC and had to make repairs along the way. Jerry's a really cool guy and is pretty much like his posts on TF (is that good or bad?) haha. He has a biker look to him and reminded me of some biker friends I use to hang with.

Adam is a really cool guy also. I learned quite a bit about Thailand and the Thai language from him (he speaks Thai pretty well). He also seems to be well traveled in the south east Asian countries. I look forward to hanging out with Adam again for sure! Which brings me to Nee, Adams lovely wife.

Nee is a really pretty Thai lady and is easy to talk to. She told me a lot about the Issan culture and people. From meeting Nee, I found that I like Issan Thai's a lot. In the background of the restaurant on a wide screen TV, was a Thai wedding. Between Nee and Adam, they explained what was going on in the wedding, thanks guys!

You guys know about Dave and Zeus already, so I won't go into any detail about them. Although, I will say that Zeus was wearing some kind of dark suit ensemble and had an "undertaker" look to him...really gave him that prince of darkness look hahaha. I wore my very best pair of sweatpants for this occasion LOL

Now this was the first time that I met the notorious Cherry! I can say right away about our guest of honor that she will be a friend for life. She has a great personality with looks to match. Yes, seems all Thai girls are beautiful LOL. I'm just happy that I finally got to meet Cherry...what a pleasure she is.

This leaves Jay (2unique). God, this guy is super funny! You never really know if he's serious or not. He played numerous pranks in a short period of time...he stayed only a while cause he was heading to some soccer thing or something with Rich. Anyway Jay, we all love ya and maybe next time you can stay a bit longer?


Dave and me decided to get some roses for the ladies and I went over to the flower place. We figured that we would get a dozen roses for each of the ladies in honor of Cherry's arrival in NYC! We didn't give Nee her flowers because we realized that Adam was her husband and maybe that would have been inappropriate. Adam said that he was cool with it anyway so it looks like we owe Nee some roses hahaha. Next time Nee, ok?

So, we gave Mel her roses and Cherry hers. But, what to do with the other dozen roses? Well, I had the good fortune of seeing Mel's sister again (she has the face of an angel and is super pretty). So I asked Mel to give them to her sister. I hope she liked them!

We all got an unexpected treat when Mels son Mason was brought in to the restaurant. God, this kid is simply gorgeous! He has a fun disposition and smiles a lot. There are some good pictures of Mason and you all will see them shortly. I think we all agreed that Mason should be the TFNYC crew's new leader hahaha. All hail Mason!!

We had a lot of conversation while we ate our meals and got to know each other a little better. Of course Mel started her quest for alcohol again and asked if we should move to a bar LOL. We all ended up at the "Irish rogue." It's a nice place and we sat outside because the weather was so good.

Now I can't really explain how this happened, but at some point, Cherry's hair got caught on Zeus's jacket! I don't know what it looked like to the 1000's of people walking by, but to us, it looked quite funny haha. Although they were stuck together for some time, I don't really think they minded at all LOL. But, after they got untangled, Zeus spent another half hour getting some knots out of her hair...what was he doing to the poor girl? LOL

It started to get a bit chilly so we decided to go inside. We found some cushion chairs inside and it was pretty comfortable. At some point as Cherry and I were talking about something, ice cubes began to hit Cherry. It was Zeus and Dave, but Mel put them up to it I'm sure haha. Mel starts ALL the trouble guys!

Mel started hitting people with balloons also. Not little love taps either! She was nailing people with the balloons haha. Mel wasn't too violent for some reason, maybe cause Cherry was there? She only hit me once, oh, and one kick too. Dave didn't get the beating he was looking for either (cheer up Dave, there's plenty of time LOL). But, he did get bitten by Mel...really hard!! He let out a scream and we all thought that a woman had yelled haha. Although it was a hard bite, he seemed to have a smile on his face afterwards? Hmm...got to watch that guy! LOL

Adam and Nee were a bit hungry, so we decided to get something to eat. We walked around the corner to a diner and ordered. Now, most of you know that I can't handle spicy food. Well, Nee asked me if I wanted to share some "buffalo wings" with her. Um, well, ok Nee, why not? Thank you. So, the wings come and she gives me one. I have a bite and then I realize that it's HOT!!!! I wonder if the other TFers told her about me and spicy food? Well, either way Nee, you got me hahaha....good job LOL

Oh, one last thing. It was someone's birthday at the diner and they all sang happy birthday. I guess Cherry felt a little jealous, so she told the waiter that it was her birthday too hahaha. The poor guy told her that he couldn't sing. Cherry kept telling him that she wanted him to sing to her! So, I let the guy off the hook by singing happy birthday to Cherry (and everyone joined in also) hahaha. Gee, how many birthdays do you want Cherry krup?

There was some other stuff that happened also, but I've already made a way too long journal. So, I'll just say that it was a pleasure to meet you guys that I met for the first time (Nee, Adam and Jerry), and as always a blast to hang out with the regulars! I hope we can all do this again soon and that some other TF new Yorkers will join us...or, TFers from anywhere are more than welcome to join our growing family here!!
