Met up with Cherry, Mel and Pablo in Manhattan. Cherry had tickets to a band that was releasing a new cd. The drummer was also a friend of our other friend Rob.

Mel and Pablo dropped Cherry and I off at the luna lounge in Queens (Now defunct) so we could see the band called "Jupiter deluxe." We'de meet up later after the show. The place was pretty big and had good equiptment in it. It had a bar and some seats here and there. It was kept dark so people would concentrate on the stage where the band was.

They rocked the house! The band was really tight musically and put on a good show. After they finished their set, we met the drummer Tom and talked a little, cool guy. With the tickets that Cherry had, we also got a cd each for free.

Performance value: A+ They rocked the house! Music value: A They were tight.

Nee, Rob and myself met in lower Manhattan and had a great dinner at 7/A. We walked around a bit as we weren't too familiar with the east village area. We went to a few joints for drinks and finally eneded up at a small, but quant little place that had live music by the shivers, Rockwood Music Hall. It was only a guy singing and playing guitar with an accompanying girl on piano, but they did a good job and we enjoyed ourselves.

Performance value: B They could have been just a little more entertaining. Music value: B They could have been much tighter. I bought two of their cd's, but wasn't really impressed with the tunes on them. Admittingly though, I am not use to (or into) their style of music. They are better live.
